Targeted Behaviour Support Training

At Quovus, our Targeted Behaviour Support Training is designed to help carers, support workers, providers and stakeholders confidently implement Behaviour Intervention Support Plans (BISP) in everyday settings.

A Behaviour Support Plan is only effective when the people supporting the participant understand how to apply it correctly. Our training provides practical, easy-to-understand guidance to improve consistency, reduce risks and build confidence in delivering behaviour support strategies.

Training can be delivered face-to-face or remotely via Microsoft Teams, depending on the needs of the participant and support team.

What is Targeted Behaviour Support Training?

Targeted Behaviour Support Training is specialised coaching designed to support the practical implementation of an existing Behaviour Intervention Support Plan. This training focuses on helping support teams understand:

  • The purpose and function of behaviours of concern
  • How to implement proactive strategies
  • How to manage environmental supports
  • How to respond safely during reactive situations
  • How to reduce and manage restrictive practices where applicable

The goal is to improve consistency across the participant's support network and ensure everyone is working towards the same positive outcomes.

Our training process

We follow a structured and clinically informed process to ensure accuracy, collaboration and quality.

  1. 01

    Contact the provider for booking

We begin by working with the provider to organise the training session, identify attendees and determine the best delivery format.

  2. 02

    Develop the training package

Our team creates a customised training package based on the participant's Behaviour Support Plan and support requirements.

  3. 03

    Prepare the training agenda

A clear training agenda is developed to ensure the session is structured, practical and relevant to the support team.

  4. 04

    Deliver the training

Training is delivered either face-to-face or online, depending on the needs of the participant, carers and providers.

  5. 05

    Travel (if required)

Where in-person training is arranged, our clinicians can attend the participant's service, workplace, school or home.

  6. 06

    Upload attendance and training records

Following completion, staff attendance sheets and training materials are securely uploaded and recorded for compliance and future reference.
